No shocker here. Last night, word leaked out that the Philadelphia Eagles had hired former Atlanta Falcons quarterback and convicted felon Michael Vick for $1.6 million (the first year) with a second year option for $5.2 million, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports. Vick may be eligible to earn another $3 million in incentives during the two year contract, ESPN reports. We’ve talked about Vick before in a recent Op-ed highlighting the plight of convicted felons. We also talked about Bernice Williams, a single mom forced to become a stripper to make ends meet since her release from prison on a three year sentence for aggravated assault. Everybody deserves a second chance said Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. Yeah, EVERYBODY does McNabb. Everybody…not just disgraced, animal abusers and quarterbacks who can throw a spin pass.
