Cleburne teenager Brieana PeacockĀ used the Star-Telegram, Cleburne Times-Review, the Keene Star and back issues of the The Joshua Star to make her prom dress. “I’m an artsy person, but I had never made my own clothes,” Peacock told the Star-Telegram. “I figured I would give this a try.” She and her mom took about three weeks to make the dress andthey had to re-do the skirt but the final resultĀ was pretty cute. And if teenagers aren’t reading newspapers, at least they’re doing something worthwhile with them. As for the dress, Peacock says she doesn’t know what to do with it. Maybe read it? Or recycle it? Cute idea Brieana. Way to be original.
