What’s happening in the Republican party? I mean, I thought things were bad when they were bringing guns to speeches and screaming at each other at town hall meetings, then things got a little worse when they refused to let their kindergartner’s watch a presidential speech on staying in school, now they’re  texting, waving papers and screaming, “You lie!” during a national address to the country. What the heck? South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson’s impromptu, “You lie!”  is just the latest in a series of Republicans behaving badly. His Twitter, Wikipedia, and web site are jammed/blocked. No doubt some will call him a patriot but there are some, including Meghan McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain, who call Wilson’s actions childish. Meghan has been guest hosting on The View while Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on maternity leave. And I have to say that she’s actually funny, slightly centrist even. But Republicans don’t like her style. Her age or her weight. I may not like her politics, but I do like her sauciness. (She called Joe the Plumber a ‘dumb ass’ and says she’s the anti-Rush Limbaugh) It’s refreshing to know that there’s at least one Republican out there I might start liking!
